When you remove a tenant from a unit and end the tenant's payment terms, our system will stop generating invoices.
To remove a tenant, follow these steps:
- Navigate to your Properties section
- Click on the property
- Click on the unit that you need to remove your tenant from.
- Click the three dots on the right side of your tenant’s name.
- Click "Remove tenant"
- Confirm by clicking "End Payment Terms"
- You will then specify the lease end date, which will effectively remove them from the unit and halt all future invoices.
You will receive a prompt to verify the lease end date. If you've collected a security deposit, you can indicate the collected amount and the corresponding date.
Below that, you can also specify the date when the deposit was returned, the method of return, and any relevant notes explaining why the full amount wasn't refunded.
Please note that while this information will be recorded for your reference, you are still responsible for actually refunding the money to the tenant. We are actively developing a feature to automate this process in a future update.
Review and confirm the details input. Click on ‘End payment terms’ to conclude the current payment terms for your tenant and stop generating future invoices.
If you have the option to "remove tenant" or "end payment terms" you can use "remove tenant" to delete/undo the payment terms you just set up, this will remove all records.
Kindly note:
- Ending payment terms does not affect any unpaid past invoices.
- Our system does not allow for backdating a lease end date. The lease end date in Azibo is reflective of the date our system will stop generating invoices.
