Yes, we do support partial payments for rent invoices (partial payments are not available for security deposits, or one-time invoice requests).
With partial payments enabled, your tenant can submit up to four payments towards an invoice.
You have the option to enable partial payments for all invoices, or for one individual invoice.
Enabling partial payments in a tenants payment terms
From the Properties tab, you will follow the steps to edit payment terms.
In the payment terms, you will toggle on 'Enable partial payments on rent' and set a minimum payment amount.
Once you have enabled partial payments, and selected your minimum payment amount, you will continue to confirm and save the changes made to the payment terms.
Enabling partial payments for an individual invoice
To enable partial payments for a single invoice, navigate to your Rent tab.
Locate the rent invoice, in your rent tab, and click on the invoice to open your invoice details section.
Click on 'Edit late fee and partial payments'
Toggle on the 'Partial payments' option, and set your minimum payment amount.
Save the changes you have made to the invoice.
How do partial payments work with late fees?
If your tenant has a balance after the due date and after the grace period, they will be charged the full late fee.
What does partial payment cost?
The tenant will not be charged for the first partial payment towards an invoice. Tenants will be charged a $4.99 fee for all subsequent payments towards an invoice.
What does it look like for renters?
Your renter will be able to select 'Pay partial amount' and then input the amount they would like to pay towards this invoice.
